KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), as a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of BGFIBank Europe’s security systems, tools, and equipment.

You will support the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in implementing, developing, and/or maintaining the Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will also contribute to ensuring compliance with information security standards and regulations applicable to the banking environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring the security of the Bank’s systems and networks, as well as monitoring the proper execution of backups.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Information Systems Security

• Detect, analyze, and assess cybersecurity incidents, threats, and attacks.
• Identify their sources and mechanisms and prevent unauthorized access to existing systems and solutions.
• Implement corrective measures or workarounds to secure networks and IT systems.
• Draft appropriate security procedures, raise awareness of network, data, and information system security issues, and ensure that these procedures are properly applied and understood by all users.
• Work closely with Information Security partners to:Implement and maintain security tools.
  Participate in regular meetings with security partners.
  
• Contribute to maintaining the Information Security Policy and PCI compliance.
• Participate in PCI testing and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) testing in accordance with the annual schedule.

Administration, Monitoring and Operational Maintenance

Working closely with Systems & Network Engineers, ensure the administration, monitoring, and effective operational maintenance of:

• Security systems.
• Security tools.
• Security equipment.

Controls

• Perform periodic controls in accordance with the established control plan.
• Update the control plan in line with changes to the Information System or Information Security environment.

Change Management

• Actively contribute to all changes impacting the Information System, including:Projects.
  Technical work and maintenance.
  Corrective changes and workarounds.
  

Information Security Project Management

• Lead Information Security projects assigned by the Project Committee (COMPROJ).
• Manage projects in accordance with BGFIBank Europe’s project management methodology.
• Lead Steering Committee meetings (COPIL).
• Report project progress and status to COMPROJ.

System Monitoring

• Ensure the proper operation of client/server connections.
• Monitor system security levels and data access conditions.
• Ensure that no harmful elements or unnecessary network resource consumption are present, including viruses and unnecessary protocols.
• Review Windows and Unix event logs.

Continuous Technology and Cybersecurity Monitoring

• Continuously monitor current cybersecurity threats and cyber defence developments.
• Research new products and solutions available or expected to enter the market.
• Test technical solutions that may be relevant to the Bank’s needs.

Reporting

• Monitor key indicators related to cybersecurity activities.
• Analyze and provide commentary on monthly activity.
• Draft and maintain operational and support quality documentation.
