BGFIBank Centrafrique: Launch of the Twelfth Subsidiary of the African Banking and Financial Group for the World

The BGFIBank banking and financial Group continues its relentless pursuit of Excellence with the establishment of its twelfth subsidiary, based in the Central African Republic.

BGFIBank Centrafrique was established following the acquisition of Commercial Bank Centrafrique (CBCA) as part of a strategy aimed at recapitalizing the bank and strengthening its performance and profitability. Through this new commitment to financing the local economy, the BGFIBank Group demonstrates its ability to establish itself as a preferred partner for governments and economic operators across the continent.

In a challenging economic environment, heavily impacted by the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the BGFIBank Group once again stands out through its concrete commitment to the development of the continent and the strengthening of its economies with its expansion into the Central African Republic.

The BGFIBank Group’s financial strength, demonstrated by its 2020 year-end net income of CFAF 44 billion, will enable Commercial Bank Centrafrique (CBCA) to “become the leading bank supporting all businesses and economic operators by providing financing for the economic development of the Central African Republic,” stated Henri-Claude OYIMA, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the BGFIBank Group.
